Food and Drink

There are numerous and varied catering outlets at Cars in the Park each year for you to sample and enjoy. For those staying overnight at the park there are plenty of pubs and restaurants a few minutes walk away in Lichfield city centre where you can enjoy a wide range of food and drink. The Queen's Head on Queen Street and the Horse and Jockey on Sandford Street are the closest pubs to Beacon Park and both will offer you a warm welcome. The George Hotel in Bird Street is a family run hotel with a bar and restaurant open to the public. The hotel is a short walk from Beacon Park and you can see the facilities and menus offered here

Plenty to see

As well as the many classic and modified cars on display from Car Clubs and Single Entries there will be plenty of trade and general stalls spread throughout the park. We also have a large array of main dealers every year so you can see the latest models from many different marques. There's always something to keep our younger visitors entertained too and there are, of course, the play areas and other facilities in Beacon Park for them to enjoy.

Beacon Park

Beacon Park is ideally situated in the heart of Lichfield city and is a perfect destination for anyone who enjoys being outdoors.

Dating from 1800, Beacon Park provides 100 acres of beautiful formal gardens, open space and leisure facilities. Take one of the paths that meander through the park and see the statues of King Edward VII and Captain Smith of Titanic fame, admire the fountain and enjoy the rose gardens. Continue on the paths and wonder past the Crown Bowling Green and tennis courts, round to Beacon Pool, which is fed by Leomansley Brook, the playing fields, play area and golf course.

Relax and feed the ducks or take part in one of the many activities on offer.

Lichfield Cathedral

Welcome to Lichfield Cathedral, where you can discover over 1300 years of history in the only medieval three-spired Cathedral in the UK! See a medieval wall painting, the famous Herkenrode stained glass, the Lichfield Angel and much more.

We welcome everybody, all ages, beliefs and backgrounds, to join us for worship at the Cathedral. We all lead busy, hectic lives, and we'd encourage you to take a few minutes out of your day to be still, reflect, and pray in magnificent surroundings.

Join us for worship, find out about our services here.
