CitP 2013 - 6th & 7th July

NETWORK.jpg

Dear Participant,
On behalf of the organising committee and members of the Rotary Club of Lichfield St. Chad let me thank everybody who became involved in CITP 2012.  We were so lucky with the weather, and  really appreciated  the car club members and other non Rotarians who gave up there time throughout the year, some camping from the Thursday afternoon and helping on the Friday  with the setting up of Beacon Park for the weekend. As I have said in previous years the Rotary club members are growing older and all the help we get from volunteers is really appreciated. If you want to volunteer please contact me via the contact section of the website, remember we do not charge you to attend and all funds we raise go to charity.

It is some time since we offered a prize for the car clubs to theme their stands so we thought we would reintroduce it this year, the theme for 2013 will be James Bond so gives you plenty of room for thought. This fits in nicely to the Golden Anniversary for the films.
We are also hoping this year to have more commercials along with military, PSV and motorcycles , if you own one of these vehicles please let us know , you will be very welcome.  The event this year is over the weekend of the 6th/7th July with normal camping available from 2pm on Friday the 5th, and those willing to help camping from 4pm on Thursday 3rd July.

In 2012 we had the Midlands Air Ambulance as our chosen charity collecting over the weekend and again our incoming President has asked them to be our main charity for 2013 , so please give generously to  their collectors who will be around the site .We are very fortunate that we have continued support from the Express and Star, and from our Main Dealer friends  who without this support there would be no show.

Again this year there will be no charge for single entries and no need to book just arrive on the day, please note you have to be onsite by 11am, no admittance can be given to the main field after that time. Clubs as before will need to book the forms for this will be available on the website shortly. We have never made a restriction on the age of vehicles that are booked in as club members, but please note we will not accept the loud playing of music from car audio systems. Camping booking forms will also be available shortly, please note basic camping facilities, no electric hook up etc.

The speed limit in the park is 5 mph and the perimeter road is not a race track, last year the council monitored the speed of leaving the park this year they are likely to prosecute speeding offenders. Please follow the directions of the Marshalls at all times they are there for your safety. If there is need to evacuate the park please follow the instruction given, all cars must be left where they are but please lock them if possible.

Catering will be similar to previous years and there will be security with dog handlers on the Friday and Saturday night, we thank Strongs Plastics for donating the cost of the sound system, and again we are hoping for a selection of arena displays from the likes of the fire brigade.

For those joining us as visitors on the Saturday and Sunday there is no charge for admittance but there is a charge of £5.00 for parking. This charge is made to cover the costs of the hire of the park and toilets, insurance etc. There will be a separate Disabled Parking Area please ask the Marshalls for directions.

Once again we hope to have a large variety of stalls available over the weekend, if you want to book a stall the forms will be available on this site shortly.

The Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad looks forward to welcoming you all again in 2013.
